32 Weeks

At our first visit to Women's Hospital, at around the 19 week mark (near the end of February), the doctor we met with told us that triplets do best long term when they make it to at least 32 weeks. Today we are very thankful to have reached this important 32 week mark. Now that we've reached this important point, we can't help but look ahead. Looking ahead, we're filled with lots of different feelings and emotions. We are excited to meet these three little boys. We are thankful that things have gone so well so far. Yet, we also can't help but feel a bit unsettled about this whole thing. We wonder: "how will these final weeks play out?" Kristen wonders: "How much bigger can this belly possibly stretch?" All of us wonder: "How will this reshape our lives and the life of our family." Yet, we're doing our best to stick to our mantra: "one day at a time."

As I write this, Kristen is having a deep and peaceful nap. Abigail and Dana are out, spending this Victoria Day with their Aunt Heather. And, I'm about to head out the door to have lunch with a friend from college.

Thanks for keeping tabs on us and for your continued support and prayer for our family.
