31 Weeks

Now that we've made it past the thirty week mark, it feels like we're getting close to the home stretch of the pregnancy. This coming Thursday (May 20), Kristen has another appointment--this time at Surrey Memorial Hospital. She'll have another ultrasound and consult with a specialist. We expect at this appointment to talk a bit more about the final weeks of the pregnancy and the birth itself.

Even as we look ahead, we're still trying to take things one day at a time. Since our last appointment at Women's hospital the babies have definitely been undergoing a growth spurt (which is great!). The downside is that Kristen is feeling both especially large and especially tired. She's getting to the point where the weight of the babies is making it very uncomfortable to stand. Even when she is sitting or lying down, it's tough for her to get comfortable. With that said, she remains in good spirits.

Abigail and Dana are also doing well. They have their moments--as young children often do--but overall have adapted well considering all the changes. Yesterday at church Abigail even willingly attended Sunday School (something she has not done for a few months).

As for me (Dan), I feel fortunate to be involved in the care oare of my little girls. It's been tough at times, but also very good...and I'm learning lots more about parenting.

Thanks for all your continued prayers for us!
